Join The Team!
There are a few ways to get involved:

1. COME AND CHECK IT OUT!
Parents are welcome to create a character and play right along side of their kids or be recruited to play a NPC (non-playing character) and help create the adventure. If you want to play an NPC, you’ll have a great time, and all NPC's get full exp for their character or if they do not have a character, or do not want to make one, they can instead receive one official Fantasy Youth LARP gold coin to keep or give to whom they will (Your kids for example).

2. YOU CAN HELP ORGANIZE AN EVENT!
We are looking for people to help organize and plan events during the Spring, Summer and Fall months. Up to 3 people can collaborate on any given event and help create the adventure, story line, monsters and NPC's. We especially encourage the young adult players, with the permission of their parents, to volunteer as a way to help build their team building and leadership skills.
This also comes with its rewards! Any event organizer gets a full 1 and 1/2 experience point rewards towards their character and 1 gold Fantasy Youth LARP coin to keep or do with as you will.

3. IF YOU WANT TO OPEN A FANTASY YOUTH LARP CHAPTER OF YOUR OWN!
All that is required is a good place to play and a willingness to provide the props and organize and run the events.
The rules are universal and players can play their characters at any official Fantasy Youth LARP chapter.
These rule sets can be adapted to any place, time, or adventure setting. Just like in the Chronicles of Narnia each local chapter has a portal into which the adventurers can travel to different lands or worlds.
All that is required is it be family friendly. (Review Chapter 1: Introduction to Fantasy Youth LARPING FAMILY FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT from our official Fantasy Youth LARP rule book). So feel free to create whatever adventure setting you like as long as you follow those general guidelines.
If wanting to open a chapter in the same geographical area as another chapter then it is expected that the two chapters coordinate events so they do not overlap. To help cover the many man hours and costs associated with Fantasy Youth LARP there may be a small yearly membership fee which includes the use of all Fantasy Youth LARP rules, monster files and player files. LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO CREATE A DATABASE!
If you have the computer and database experience we are looking for volunteers to set up and maintain a database for character storage and updates. Ideally a database where any player can log on to view their characters and update their skills. Please contact Jesse Buckingham via fantasy.youth.larp@gmail.com for more details.
