About Fantasy Youth LARP

Fantasy Youth LARP (live action role playing) is a family friendly adventure day inspired by the novels of Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia and others. The goal is to create a safe environment for our children to interact with one another where boys and girls can become the heroes of their imagination and have fun adventures together.  We seek to get the kids and young adults out of the house, away from the video games, and into a collaborative outdoor play environment supervised by the adults and parents.

In 2024 we ran three play test events in the summer boasting up to 22 kids and their parents.  This year there is a fully developed rulebook, a how to guide to make a boffer weapon, shield and spell packets, all for free download on this site.  There will also be a small admission fee of 10$ CA per player (or 40$ CA for families whichever is cheaper) to help cover the costs of running the game.  All players will also need to have their own weapons, shields, and spell packets for combat so please check out the tutorials and make some.  If you need help please contact Jesse at fantasy.youth.larp@gmail.com.  Otherwise there will be some weapons, shields, limited costuming and spell packets available at each event for sale:  25$ for small weapons and 30$ CA for long weapons, 40$ CA for hand-made shields (50$ for modified professional ones) and 5$ CA for a pack of ten spell packets.  â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

Hope to see you there! ~Jesse

We believe all children can embrace their creativity, can define their own stories, and can shape the world around them.
